Product Description

The Heil PR 48 kick drum mic starts with Heil's 1.5" large diaphragm dynamic element sealed in a vulcanized shock mount and fed with a specially designed low-pass filter that creates a 10dB rise from 60Hz to 100Hz right where the kick drum resonates. The drum microphone stays out to 7.5 kHz and drops off drastically to eliminate any unwanted internal sounds. The total frequency response is 30Hz - 8.5kHz (4dB rise @ 4500Hz). Its rear rejection is -40dB @ 180 off-axis. It can handle +148dB SPL. The Heil PR 48 microphone's metal housing was designed with a slanted entrance to the 3-pin XLR so the cable assembly is easier to connect. The microphone provides a 600 ohm balanced output. The Heil HDK drum kit series is a culmination of over 2 years spent on the road with leading drummers. They gave Heil their ideas, dreams, and needs which Heil then turned into reality. Every component of a drum kit needs special attention when it comes to reproducing the sound accurately. There are many drum microphones out there, but the artists that helped design the Heil drum microphones wanted more accuracy, not just level. Each one of them were tired of little plastic toys that did not reproduce well. They all agreed, after hearing and using the technologies of the Heil drum microphones, that they had never heard this level of quality reproduction..

Heil Sound PR 48 Kick Drum Microphone Review

We use this kick drum mic with multiple kick drums and different sound systems. Always sounds amazing. Built solid, and we get tons of compliments on the look of this. Most photos look black and orange, but it's actually more red and it's brightly colored. We'd highly recommend it to anyone. Great price, too. Bob Heil knows what's up.

OSP Designs 46-Inch TV Stand with Black Frame And Black Glass Review

I used this stand for my 46 inch Samsung 750 with TOC. It's a nice looking stand and was very easy to put together. The only minor problem was the screws from the TV itself weren't long enough to fit through the bracket back into the TV to mount it. Just find out your screw size and head to the local hardware store.

Product Description

Emergencies can happen in all parts of a home and frequently right outside a home in the yard or driveway. So whether you are just checking in with a friend, need some quick help from a neighbor, or are in an emergency, your Freedom Alert pendant will allow you to communicate your message instantly and efficiently from anywhere in and around your home. All with ONE button activation. FreedomAlert will allow you to communicate your message instantly and efficiently from within hundreds of feet of your base station. This system will cover the average American home and into the front, back and side yards. Because you are Speaking through your Pendant, FreedomAlert allows you to communicate from every corner of your home, outside in the yard and in the driveway. It is intended as a device to contact emergency assistance and not intended to be used to carry on a long term conversation. FreedomAlert can be set to operate in three different ways. 1. Call up to 4 individual phone numbers. 2. Call up to 4 individual phone numbers & 911 3. Call just 911 emergency operator.Options 1 & 2 call the first phone number programed and if there is no answer within a few rings goes to the next phone number programed. If option 2 is used and no one answers the system calls the local 911 emergency service. Very simple to set-up. Just plug in phone cord, power adapter, and simply program contact number using your touch-tone phone. It's that easy! The pendant can be carried in 3 convenient methods: 1. Using a Lanyard around the neck 2. Using a Belt Clip 3. Using a Wrist Strap holder. All three are included with the package! The system comes complete with standby emergency battery power. The base station has 4 rechargeable batteries that continually charge to provide up to 24 hours of standby power in the event of a power outage. The Pendant comes with two rechargeable Li-ion batteries that can provide several hours of talk time on a full charge - and several months in stand-by.

Freedom Alert ® Programmable 2-Way Voice Emergency Pendant Communicator System Freedom Alert Review

I have installed one of these systems recently and can say it does work very well - better than expected. There is no monthly fee so the system pays for itself in 10 months versus the inferior system shown in the infomercials on TV. The automated voice is clear and sound quality just as good as any cordless phone. The unit I installed for a relative calls my home first, then my cell, and if I don't answer, it calls 911...all in less than a minute. Why have 911 responders break through your doors or damage windows just because the victim needs some simple help for a non life-threatening issue? This thing is great and no monthly fee or rip-off 2 year contract.

Product Description

In the case of Onkyo A/V receivers, entry level” means a whole lot more than just affordability and standard functionality. You won t find a better example than the TX-SR506, which also offers high-definition media capability and advanced sound correction technologies. With an HDMI platform handling 1080p video from three sources, the TX-SR506 brings polish and peak performance to high-definition displays and sources. Legendary Onkyo amplification drive and power set the foundation for delivering bass crunch and vocal clarity. And, thanks to the latest Audyssey technologies, you get to enjoy a sweeping soundstage even at low volumes. Easily holding its own among higher-priced A/V receivers, the TX-SR506 adds serious impetus to entry-level home theater.

Onkyo TX-SR506 7.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver (Silver) Review

This receiver is pretty impressive on paper and visually by oogling at all the ports on the back. The biggest thing to note, I believe, is that the 3 HDMI inputs are "pass-through" and do not extract audio and play it through the speakers connected to the receiver! (the audio will only go to the TV!)

You NEED a secondary cable for audio (for each HDMI input!) and then you must configure the receiver to pair the corresponding HDMI input with the audio source. For example, if I have my Xbox 360 connected via HDMI, it is total FAIL because the optical audio connector for Xbox only exists on the component out... so I must use the component output for the Xbox instead, and pair it with a TOSLINK optical cable setup on the receiver.

While being an excellent receiver for the price, this single ridiculous gotcha makes the technology of HDMI near totally moot and could lead to some annoying workarounds as I have done for my home theater.

SquareTrade 4-Year Camera Protection Plan ($1000-$1250) Review

I bought their warranty as I had a bought a new to the market digital camera on ebay, and after 2 yrs and 8 months of a 3yr waranty I thought it was a lost cause, when my camera failed on vacation in China, and I had to buy another while away, ( which got stolen before I could insure it....go figure). But I contacted Square Trade on my return and to my amazement they not only responded, but sent me a UPS return label for it...... AND 2 weeks later, repaid the FULL purchase price into my PayPal account.... I was IMPRESSED to say the least!!!! I have since insured my new camera, and my laptop with them, and will also have them cover my soon to be purchased IPhone too...and am a CONFIRMED beliver in SQUARE TRADE... and all my friends know it soooo, JUST DO IT....NOW!!!!
