Elite Screens VMAX100XWV2 VMAX2 Electric Projection Screen (100-Inch 4:3 AR) Review

I bought this screen along with the Optoma HD20 High Definition 1080p DLP Home Theater Projector (Grey) for my home theater and it shows a fabulous picture.

Out of the box it was well assembled and the only thing required of me were my own mounting screws. I was pleased to see an RF and IR remote included for operating the screen as well as the optional wall mount switch with an optional 12V toggle.

Installation was simple, my friend and I mounted it to wall studs and finished in about 30 minutes. Like I said, all you need to buy are your choice of mounting screws as the case ships fully assembled and ready to mount. It takes about 40 seconds for the screen to completely lower or raise up. This is by design since this isn't a tensioned screen. If the motor were too fast, the screen might get folded up during rolling and cause a nasty crease or wrinkle like a window shade that went up too fast. The slow retraction makes sure this doesn't happen. This doesn't bother me anyway because it takes me longer than that to warm up the projector and find a Blu-Ray to watch. The electric motor is very quiet too as a bonus.

The quality of the screen material was astounding. I had heard some users having wrinkled screens but my screen turned out nice and smooth. Colors and blacks turn out nicely on it when watching movies. Let me tell you also, 150 inches of real-estate looks flat-out beautiful. Words cannot describe it.

I have to give this a 5-star rating because it exceeded what my original expectations were and has really enhanced my home theater experience for a really good price. Good luck.

Numark IDJ2CASE Road Case For Numark Idj2 Review

If you're willing to roll with Numark on the iDJ2, you might as well go all the way and make your life easier with this coupling of gear.

The case is a case: sure, strong and true...just like every other case out there. Where this package really helps is with the addition of the keyboard. You may think that you can scroll pretty fast through your iPod even in DJ situations, but if you have a significant library on there, you'll notice that scrolling locks up the display for a few seconds sometimes and makes searching long lists a real pain. This keyboard pretty much makes that issue go away, and it's an important issue if you're like me and using this piece of gear as your main DJ unit. If you're only using it as a side piece and pulling a couple of tracks here and there, this package might be overkill.

If you have an iDJ2 and you actually use it outside of your house, get it. If you don't have one, this has no purpose.

Bushnell PinPro Silver Point and Shoot Laser Rangefinder 201609 Review

I owned a Bushnell Sport 450 which was designed in a way that put stress on the wires connecting the 9V battery to the device itself. After several failures, solder jobs, etc. I returned it. They offered me a repair @ $100 or discounts on any of their new products. I selected the Pin Pro precisely because it was the cheapest. ($80 to me). It works great........does all that the more expensive units do. It's very light. It is a little awkward to hold, but I got accustomed to it quickly. Only had it a short time, so we'll see how it holds up over time.

KEF C6LCR Speaker - Black (Single) Review

When I owned the big million dollar house, before divorce, I only put the best in this house, The sound company installed Kef's and I loved them. I look on Amazon and miracle of miracles I find Kef speakers, Unfortunately I now live in a smaller condo but Kef had the answer with 4 C1's for front and surround speakers and this C6LCR for my center (dialogue) speaker. I then added a subwoofer that I also bought from Amazon. What a great home theater surround 5.1 system. And it's great for music also. I can't say enough for these speakers except buy a great receiver to hear the best from these beauties. The great thing about these C6's is how great they work for the center speaker in a surround sound system. I read that you should spend a decent amount of money on your center speaker and I was lucky to find this speaker at such a reasonable price. Kef makes a great speaker, what else can I say.

ULTRASONE iCans-Naos, S-Logic Surround Sound Professional Headphones

ULTRASONE iCans-Naos, S-Logic Surround Sound Professional Headphones Review

If you have not experienced the Ultrasone sound quality, it will be hard to fully appreciate these phones. They provide an open relaxed yet dynamic sound. I have the HFI700's which are beyond any others. For traveling I have used Sennheiser PX200 and Shure E3c. The iCans are by far more comfortable than either barely feeling them on your head. Being semi-open they do not isolate those around you as well as these though. One can listen to the iCans for a longer period without feeling tired.

The iCans carry the Surround Sound System S-Logic well from their big brothers. The bass is a little weaker, but the accuracy is excellent across the range of 20-20,000. I use the Cowon's A2 as my source which is one of the best. It is well worth the while to go outside the lemming behavior of iPOD's and Sony to experience where others have advanced technology beyond the masses.
