For the price you'll be hard pressed to beat this kit from LimoStudio. In my opinion the umbrella/light stands, umbrellas, bulbs, and the other hardware to hold it all together was pretty much worth the money, then when you factor in the backdrop support structure, the backdrops, and the muslins, you really start to realize just how much you get for the $160(ish). One thing I am a bit disappointed in, though, (and again, keep in mind that while it's disappointing, I'm not complaining b/c of the great price) is that the black backdrop isn't a nice, deep, studio-grade black (which was one of the big reasons for the purchase), it's more of a very faded black, or even a deep, yet somewhat washed-out, gray. But hey, for what you get for the money (and save from the purchase), you can just go out and get a better black backdrop. And of course I could've just been using poor lighting. Worth the money if you're considering it!

Panasonic DMR-EZ37VS DVD-Recorder/VCR Combo with ATSC Tuner Silver Review

After having this item for several weeks now I decided to write a review and share what I felt...

This product does exactly what it was made to do... HDMI, HDMI...Of course there is no HDMI it does NOT have it. First rule of online buying...DO NOT TRUST SELLERS SPEC'S. I always go the manufacturer and check the specs to verify that the item does what is advertised. In this case there is NO HDMI. I knew that going in so it wasn't a factor of this review.

The unit works great. The fit and finish was perfect. The unit is complex and the manual is written for someone who has a total understanding of how DVD's are produced and used. So if you understand that then the manual is not a problem.

The only reason I gave 4 stars is a feature (to some) called "divide". When making a "copy" of a home movie from VHS to DVD every so often it makes a "divide" based on a signal on the VHS tape. I understand it is trying to make logical chapter breaks, but I wish it was an option that I could control. That is my only main gripe.

The unit does have a small menu and title building section it works and is nice to have. I don't think you need more as I don't remember those dusty VHS having more than a half stuck label on them in the first place.

Overall I think this unit does what it does best and that is make copies. The extras of having a digital ATSC tuner is a nice add on to make this unit a great machine moving into the digital television age...

BUSH FURNITURE Bush Furniture Segments Collection Prestige Corner TV Stand, Cherry Review

In general happy with my purchase. This is not my first Bush Furniture Segments stand purchase, I've got 3 others Segments series set up as an media center.
Quality of this one is good, but "cherry" surface somehow looks cheaper. My main complaint is as always completely clueless customer service of Bush. My only concern for this piece was exact space between top and middle shelves, which Cust Rep reassured me is 9.17". Well -not true, since there is a metal support bar which runs across whole unit under the top shelf, which is not mentioned anywhere. Had to remove it to fit my center channel speaker (I've got no TV on top, it sits under the projector screen)

Bower SLY358OD Ultra-Wide 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye Lens for Olympus 4/3 Digital Cameras Review

Let me begin by saying that this lens is manufactured in Korea, not China, and is made by Samyang under their name as well as Bower and Pro-Optic.
I first encountered this lens on Ken Rockwell's web site, where he gives it a glowing recommendation. On further review, I found equally glowing reports of the Pro-Optic on Amazon and Adorama web sites.
This is a manual lens, so you have to do a little work when using it. Loss of auto focus is no big deal with a lens this wide, since its hyperfocal range is so great - just set it at 10 feet, and you should have all distances covered. Depending on your camera, you may or may not lose auto exposure. I shoot this with a Nikon D200, and can auto expose with aperture priority - not all Nikons can do this, however, only the more advanced - it will not auto expose with the D40 or other entry-level cameras, so it pays to research this lens with your camera if lack of auto exposure is a deal breaker.
The images this lens produces are SHARP. It's hard to believe that such an inexpensive lens can be so good. Keep in mind this is a fish eye lens, and it produces a great deal of distortion, especially on the edges. This being said, it's certainly not the lens to keep on your camera as a "walk around" - its suited for special effects and impact, so I wouldn't recommend it as your primary lens.
To sum up, if you're looking for a fish-eye lens, it's hard to go wrong with this bargain - its popularity seems to be growing, and I wouldn't be suprised to see the price go up, as happened to the Tokina 11-16mm 2.8, which originally sold for about $100 under its current price (when it's available).
