At first, I was hesitant paying $170 for a TV mount. I took the plunge because display rotation is a requirement for my video games, and this mount covers not only my current 40" LCD but also my future 60" plasma.

The thing is rugged. My mount base is attached to my metal-stud framed wall with 4 1/2" toggle bolts, and the fully assembled apparatus feels incredibly sturdy while rotating the TV. Once correctly mounted, the rotation mechanism on this mount is incredibly simple and requires neither strength nor finesse. It really is effortless (just mind the cables).

Attaching the TV was a little complicated. I mounted my TV, and the rotation didn't work correctly. Counter-clockwise rotation stopped at about 45 degrees.... Clockwise rotation went the full 90 degrees, but the center of gravity on the TV was off & the dang thing dropped back to landscape orientation.... I called up Premier Mount's 800 number on the website, and an associate immediately transferred me to a product manager. This product manager gave me her email address, and I was contacted by a support tech within a day of emailing her. He was very helpful & gave me a tip to fix the problem; the mount now works perfectly.

In case you're wondering about the tip.... Use the included vinyl spaces between the TV and the mounting brackets to allow the brackets to center the display's mass. The suggestion was so simple I'm a little embarrassed I didn't think of it on my own.

Summary: Great mount, great company. Though a little pricey, the company has your back if anything isn't right.
