Yamaha MCR-140LBU Micro Component System (Light Blue) Review

For quite a while I had been looking for a stereo for my 12 and 10 year old daughters that would carry them through the teen years. I wanted something compatible with my kids Gen 4 ipod touches and I wanted excellent sound. This stereo is perfect. The sound quality is great, it was easy to setup (my 12 year old did it unassisted), and the wireless feature works great with the itouch 4. The colors we selected (pink and blue) look great in their rooms. The itouch slips into a wireless jacket which turns the itouch into a remote. I read a review that the jacket was bulky but I don't find it bad at all. It has a very good CD player. The stereo looks like one piece but it is actually 3 pieces. I plan to get another one for our workout room. The only "cons" are that it doesn't have AM radio (FM only) and the price is on the high side. Even with these cons I still find it a great unit and worth the investment.
