The automated set-up worked very well with my Linksys E3000 Router. I was quickly able to set it up to show video anywhere in my house, over the internet, and even on my Android phone, using the Dlink App.

It is easy to configure the cameras to send e-mails at set times or via motion activation. It is also easy to have to camera send its data to an FTP site.

The range and video quality are both very good. The automated software and the mydlink website make it all simple to use. The camera stays connected to the network, and never stops broadcasting.

The only task that isn't very easy to set up, is having the video go to a local hard drive. There isn't a quick and easy way to utilize this feature, though having it save a stream of pictures to a local or remote FTP site is very simple and reliable.

Overall, I would recommend these cameras. Everything you would want a wireless camera for is very simple to set up. I am a complete novice with this setting network devices up, and had no problem.

I am still very happy with these cameras. Since my initial review, I have continued to have very good experiences with it. Here are some more observations:
- They reconnects to the network within 20 seconds, if you unplug it and move it to a new spot.

- Though they work great over Android, D-link keeps updating the software to make it more and more reliable. The camera always stayed connected to the net, but the phone would sometimes lose the connection. That is no longer a problem.

- Also works on iOS products.

- I have played with the Motion Detections settings in conjunction with FTP quite a bit recently. The camera is working great, and is highly adjustable in this regard, but the FTP service on my Linksys E3000 was giving me problems. Initially, I thought the camera wasn't working properly, or wasn't adjusting to my settings, but when I switched the FTP to an external site from my router, it is working fine. Either my E3000 isn't working right, or something with my network settings was causing it to intermittently disconnect. Either way, it isn't the camera's fault, because it is now working fine, connected to a remote FTP site. That is better than having it store the images in the house anyway.

The cameras continue to perform very well and gives us a lot of peace of mind. There is occasional crime in our neighborhood, but an alarm system never seemed worth the expense. This camera coupled with our off-site FTP storage gives us confidence that we'd at least be able to give the police a photograph of anyone who commits a crime on our property or in our home.
